Position Overview:

Mosaic Makers Co is seeking a passionate and customer-focused Part-Time Sales Associate for our new Waco, Texas location. This role is perfect for individuals who have a love for local artisans, women-owned, and minority-owned businesses. As a Sales Associate, you will be the face of our store, providing exceptional customer service, assisting with merchandising, and contributing to the overall shopping experience. This part-time role requires a commitment to work flexible hours, including Saturdays.

 

Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Provide excellent customer service, creating a welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience.
  • Assist customers with product selection, answer questions, and provide information about the products and artisans we represent.
  • Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and promptly.

Sales and Merchandising:

  • Assist in implementing visual merchandising strategies that align with our brand values.

  • Help manage product placement, ensuring the store is well-organized and visually appealing.

  • Support inventory management, including restocking shelves and organizing back stock.

  • Assist with in-store events and promotions to drive sales and customer engagement.

 Store Operations:

  • Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.

  • Maintain the store's cleanliness and organization, ensuring high standards of presentation.

  • Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system.

Team Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively with the General Manager, Assistant Manager, and other team members to achieve store goals.

  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge and store policies.

 

Requirements: 
  • Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including Saturdays.
  • A passion for supporting local artisans and promoting community values.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting and organizing merchandise.
