Hi Kelsey! Thanks for sharing your story with us today. Can you tell everyone a little about yourself?
Hi, I’m Kelsey Hampton and my shop is Kelsey Noel Creations! My husband and I moved here from Wichita, KS in 2019 and love exploring Dallas. We live in the Bishop Arts area of Dallas with our two cats, Lucy and Lucky. We love to cook together any chance we get.
Welcome to Texas! You’ve certainly picked a fun area of town to live in (not that we’re biased, or anything)! This past year has been a tough one. Can you share something good that has come out of this time?
Although this past year was tough, I discovered Mosaic Makers in 2020 and was able to become one of the lucky creators to be in the shop and I’m so thankful for that.
We’re thankful for YOU! What’s the best advice you’ve ever been given?
The best advice I’ve ever been given is to just be yourself and understand that the ones who are meant to be in your life will accept you as you are.
That’s great advice– it’s so important to be true to yourself. Tell us about Kelsey Noel Creations! What do you make and how long have you been doing it?
I started my shop on a whim in 2020 and haven’t looked back. I crochet all kinds of items, from home goods to apparel to accessories. I’m just getting started in my journey with creating, but I have a ton of ideas that I can’t wait to see come to life in 2021.
We’re excited to see all those new ideas come to life, too! We love what you’ve created so far. What advice would you give a young artist?
To anyone who may not be sure if they’re ready to sell their creations, I say go for it! If it makes you happy then people will see that in what you create.
So much truth in that piece of advice! Aside from visiting MMC, what’s your favorite thing to do in Bishop Arts District?
I love to go grab a margarita at Gloria’s any chance I get. I love Tex-Mex! But I really love going to any part of Bishop Arts because there’s so much cool stuff to do.
This really is the best neighborhood! We’re so glad to have you as a neighbor and even happier to have you as a maker here at Mosaic Makers Collective!
